CO2 Separation Membrane Module

UBE CO₂ separation membrane modules (CO₂ separator) have polyimide hollow fiber membranes originated from UBE. The modules that carbon dioxide (CO₂) permeates preferentially than methane (CH₄) can generate biomethane by separating CO₂ efficiently from biogas. Biogas is a mixture gas of CO₂/CH₄ mixed gas obtained from fermentation or digestion of livestock waste, landfill waste, sewage sludge, and so on. Biomethane has been attracted much attention as renewable natural gas (RNG) and is a high purity CH₄ concentrated from biogas. The modules are applied to several hundreds of biomethane plants all over the world from 1980’s. The modules also can be applied to He or H₂ recovery at low pressure operation up to 2.4 MPaG.

H2 Separation Membrane Module

UBE H₂ separation membrane modules (H₂ separator) have polyimide hollow fiber membranes originated from UBE. The modules that hydrogen (H₂) permeates preferentially than other gases can recover H₂ by separating H₂ efficiently from gas mixtures. The modules have been applied to recovering and manufacturing processes of H₂ from petroleum refineries and chemical industries such as syngas, methanol, and ammonia production. In addition, the modules can be also applied to production of biofuels such as SAF (sustainable aviation fuel), biodiesel, and so on. The modules also can be applied to He recovery and CO₂ removal from natural gas at high pressure operation.

Organic Vapor Dehydration Membrane Module

UBE organic vapor dehydration membrane modules (vaporpermeation) have polyimide hollow fiber membranes originated from UBE. The modules that water vapor permeates preferentially than organic vapors can recover organic vapors by separating water vapor efficiently. Bioethanol has been attracted much attention as renewable energy and raw material of renewable chemicals. The modules are applied to a lot of plants all over the world from 1990’s. The modules also have been applied to purified processes of isopropanol and methyl ethyl ketone.

N2 Separation Membrane Module

UBE N₂ separation membrane modules (N₂ separator) have polyimide hollow fiber membranes originated from UBE. The modules that oxygen (O₂) permeates preferentially than nitrogen (N₂) can generate dry N₂ with 90 to 99.9% N₂ by separating O₂ efficiently from compressed air. N₂ is used in various fields as inert gases. The modules have been applied to fire and explosion protection for production and storage such as chemicals and fossil fuels, on board inert gas generating systems (OBIGGS) in airplanes, analytical instruments, laser cutting, and so on. UBE has a lot of lineups of the modules which satisfy customer requirement of various flow rates and concentrations of N₂, and provides the modules with operation of low energy consumption, maintenance free, and long lifetime.

Dehumidification Membrane Module

UBE dehumidification membrane modules (membrane dryer) have polyimide hollow fiber membranes originated from UBE. The modules that water vapor permeates preferentially than air can generate dry air up to -60 ℃ of atmospheric dew point by separating water vapor efficiently from compressed air. Dry air is used in various fields. The modules have been applied to pneumatic instruments such as trains and industries, analytical instruments, medical instruments, dry boxes, and so on. UBE has a lot of lineups of the modules which satisfy customer requirement of various flow rates and dew points of dry air, and provides the modules with operation of low energy consumption, maintenance free, and long lifetime.
