Glycerol Carbonate

Glycerol Carbonate (CAS number 931-40-8) is bio-based product and an interesting material in the chemical industry, which can be used in several applications as raw materials or active solvent. Glycerol carbonate could serve in coatings, paintings and adhesives industries; as solvent, diluent and plasticizer; as synthetic intermediates; and many other applications.

Waterborne Polyurethane Dispersions(PUDs)

Waterborne Polyurethane Dispersions (PUDs) using water as the primary solvent are environmentally friendly coating materials which can reduce emission of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), and now are being used widely for water-based paints, adhesive, ink-binder and coatings, etc. UBE is the global supplier of Polycarbonate Diols (PCD), and can provide a superior toughness and high durability products in terms of heat, hydrolysis, chemical, abrasion and weather resistance based on our PCD technology.

PCD(Polycarbonate Diol)

Polycarbonatediol (ETERNACOLL Series) , a raw material for polyurethane resin (PUR) , has a capability to enhance PUR's performance (durability and chemical resistance). It is suitable for synthetic leather, thermoplastic urethane and coatings etc which are required high performance. A wide variety of grades are available according to the desired use.

Oxetane

Oxetane is an environmentally friendly material used as a substitute for epoxy resin.

Polyesterpolyol

Polyesterpolyol, a raw material for polyurethane, is suitable for moisture curing, hot-melt adhesives.

1,6-Hexanediol

1,6-Hexanediol is raw material for polyurethane coatings, polyester resins and polycarbonatediol resins.

1,5-Pentanediol

1,5-Pentanediol is a raw material used in polyurethane coatings, polyester resins, and polycarbonate diol resins.

1,12-Dodecanedioic acid (DDA)

DDA is used as a raw material for polyurethane resins, polyester resins, and polyamide resins, as well as a curing agent for acrylic powder paints.

Methyl ethyl ketoxime (MEKO)

MEKO is primarily used as an anti-skinning agent for oil and latex paints and coatings.

Dimethyl carbonate (DMC)

Dimethyl carbonate is an environmentally friendly solvent used to make coatings, adhesives, and cleaning agents.

Hydroquinone

Hydroquinone is used as an inhibitor of polymerization. Due to its outstanding photo developing properties, it is also used as a photo developer, and as a raw material in manufacturing dye intermediates.

Hydroxylamine sulfate (HAS)

HAS is used as a viscosity stabilizer for natural rubber, and as a non-contaminating short-stopper for synthetic rubber.

δ-Valerolactone

δ-Valerolactone is used as an additive for coatings.

Cyclohexanone

Cyclohexanone is a colorless, flammable and corrosive liquid which dissolves in water, alcohol and ether.

High-purity catechol

High-purity catechol is a white, flaky powder used for a semiconductor photoresist stripper. This high-purity product features an extremely low metal content. UBE is the sole manufacturer in Japan.

2-Buthyloctanoic acid (1,6-DDA)

1,6-DDA is used as a raw material for the electrolytes used in aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

Dimethyl carbonate (DMC)

Dimethyl carbonate is used as an electrolyte in lithium ion batteries (LIB), which are experiencing a rapid increase in demand for use in notebook PCs and cell phones.

Dimethyl oxalate (DMO)

Like DMC, DMO is a white solid synthesized from methanol and carbon monoxide using UBE's proprietary nitrite technology.

Oxetane

Oxetane is used as a photoresist and sealer, and as an underfill material that can serve as an alternative to epoxy resins for electronic materials.

Cyclohexanone

Cyclohexanone is a colorless, flammable and corrosive liquid which dissolves in water, alcohol and ether.

Oxalic acid

Colorless, odorless needle crystals, that easily dissolves in alcohol, but does not dissolve well in ether.
