UBE to Host the 19th UBE Classical Concert -- Nurturing Children's Future through Music
2026/08/05 News ReleaseUBE Corporation (President: Yuki Nishida; Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter, "UBE") is pleased to announce that it will host the 19th UBE Classical Concert on Sunday, October 11, 2026. This concert is an annual initiative UBE has long been implementing in Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, where the Company was founded, to promote music culture in the local community and nurture the next generation therein. As part of its efforts to support music education, UBE invites elementary and junior high school students, from Ube, Sanyo-Onoda and Mine cities, to attend the concert free of charge, thereby providing children with a valuable opportunity to immerse themselves in classical music.
This year's concert will feature two Brahms masterpieces--Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 77 and Symphony No. 1 in C Minor, Op. 68--conducted by Kazufumi Yamashita and performed by Mone Hattori as a violin soloist and the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. Proceeds from the admission fees for this concert will be used to promote local music culture and to support music education for children as next-generation leaders by holding Outreach Concerts and Music Clinics every year.
UBE will continue its efforts to use music as a catalyst to promote local culture and nurture the next generation's future, thereby contributing to development of the local community.
