UBE Corporation (President: Yuki Nishida; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter, "UBE") announced today that it has certified polybutadiene produced using the ISCC mass balance approach, manufactured and sold by UBE Elastomer Co. Ltd. (President: Hisaaki Yokoo; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter, "UBE Elastomer"), a UBE Group company, under the environmental product brand U-BE-INFINITY.
The U-BE-INFINITY brand is given to products under development, products developed by the UBE Group that demonstrate particularly outstanding positive environmental impacts, thereby enhancing the added value of the relevant products under development, products. UBE seeks to help solve global environmental issues with U-BE-INFINITY brand products.

About the newly certified product

ISCC PLUS Certified Polybutadiene Using the ISCC Mass Balance Approach

This polybutadiene product is linked to ISCC-certified Bio-circular or Circular raw material based on the ISCC mass balance approach. All of polybutadiene products (UBEPOL BR®, UBEPOL VCR®) produced at UBE Elastomer's Chiba factory are available as the ISCC-certified products that comply with the latest ISCC PLUS requirements and contribute to reducing environmental impact. This product has the same quality and properties as conventional one, and is therefore interchangeable. While maintaining the wear resistance, energy loss properties, durability, and processability that conventional product has delivered across various applications -- including automotive tires, polystyrene modifiers, industrial rubber products, shoe soles, and golf balls -- it contributes to addressing global environmental issues.
